Benefits of Membership

The Benefits of Membership

Membership in CAPSLE will increase your knowledge and understanding of legal issues affecting education.

Contacts

CAPSLE’s membership is a very effective network of people involved and interested in legal issues affecting education. This includes lawyers, educators, school board officials, representatives of teachers’ federations and support staff, unions, school trustees, principals and others. Membership in CAPSLE will expand your current network of resources.

Conference

The annual conference provides an excellent opportunity for CAPSLE members to meet colleagues from across the country. Scheduled in the spring in St. John’s one year, Victoria the next year, and another city in between the year after that, the conference provides participants the chance to review and debate current issues in law and education, to form professional relationships, and to engage in outstanding professional development activities. Conference speakers include leading educators, lawyers, and judges.

Conference Papers

Papers presented at the conference are published in the conference proceedings and provide a useful resource and reference for educators and lawyers alike. CAPSLE members receive a copy of the most recently published conference papers.

Our Newsletter

CAPSLE Comments is our quarterly newsletter. It contains thoughtful articles and timely items of interest to members. The newsletter offers a vehicle for easy access to some of the current interesting local and national developments in education law.
