About CAPSLE

CAPSLE is the Canadian Association for the Practical Study of Law in Education. We are a national organization whose aim is to provide an open forum for the practical study of legal issues in education.

CAPSLE was established in 1989 and our membership is made up of individuals from all parts of the education spectrum. We include lawyers, school trustees, teachers, school and school board administrators, academics, teacher federations, government officials, and students. Over the years, our association has grown to represent all the regions of the country and all aspects of the legal and education communities. We welcome all who have an interest in the legal issues affecting education.
